Hello, I am a historian and Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2024–2025, I was a Doctoral Fellow in the Samuel DuBois Cook Centre on Social Equity at Duke University. I earned my PhD in History from Carnegie Mellon University in 2025.
I study Modern India, the British Empire, the Indian diaspora, and the American Civil Rights Movement.
I am revising my doctoral dissertation for publication and am also writing a history of the Indian diaspora in the United States, under contract with Bloomsbury Academic.
Beyond my research and teaching, I enjoy cinema, postcolonial literature, cricket, and jazz.
